Sooo, I don't have a ton to report on this week, but I do have a cool story to share.
This past week we spent most of our time trying to find new people to teach. We went to visit someone named Juliana, and she happened to be across the street visiting with her friend, Miriam.
We talked to them and presented the Book of Mormon to them, and Juliana's friend also showed interest in reading it. However, we didn't have a second book at the time, so we gave the one we had to Juliana and promised to return the next day with another for Miriam.
Well, the next day we passed by Miriam's house in the afternoon to give her the book, but she wasn't there. Neither was Juliana. So we went on with our day.
Later that night we were walking down that same road, and we passed Miriam's house. And there she was, sitting out front on the sidewalk. We stopped and gave her the last copy of the Book of Mormon that we had. She wad very grateful to receive it.
The next day - yesterday- wasn't going quite so well, and we were a little frustrated with a few things going on. But, as we were going around visiting people during the evening, we decided to visit Miriam again. When she came out to talk to us, we sat on the ground and she began to tell us that she was having a bad day. In fact, she had been having a bad day the day before, too. She said that she knew God was looking out for her because two days in a row we showed up right when she was at her lowest moment of the day.
As a bonus, Miriam's other friend showed up while we were taking and joined the conversation. She accepted a Book of Mormon, too, and gave us her number.
I was grateful for this experience because, even in the middle of our frustration, we were able to help someone who was having a worse day than us. I felt much lighter after that, and the rest of the day went smoother.
Other bonus: Saturday we witnessed our recent convert, Eduardo, crush the other institute students in Book of Mormon Kahoot.
We're so proud.
