To Rhetor Or Not To Rhetor...

A Rhetor is the voice or the orator, either with written or spoken word.  As I learn the qualities and characteristics of a good rhetor, it's incredibly easy for me to feel completely inadequate, especially because of my lack of vocabulary, poor grammar, and my  sub-par knowledge about life in general.  But thankfully, in the gospel setting, the Lord's criteria doesn't require that I have a quick wit or a brilliant mind.  What He wants is a willing mind and someone quick to obey.   It's comforting to me that He has used ordinary and un-learned people all through time.  So, I know He can use me.

This morning in my scripture study I centered my focus on these scriptures.  They make a good follow-up to my day yesterday.  I'm so thankful for truth!

"And Moses said unto the Lord, O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant: but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue.
And the Lord said unto him, Who hath made man’s mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the Lord?
