In almost 70 years of life, my family finance professor has experienced his share of struggle, heartache, and loss. In the midst of these adversities and through them, he has also witnessed "many mighty miracles." One would never guess the fiery furnace he has been through by first glance. He has a joyful countenance and a contagious smile. I believe his optimistic outlook stems from the hope that is within him, from a deep and abiding testimony in our Savior, Jesus Christ. He begins and ends each semester teaching his students three things to remember:
..........
1. Life is hard... but you can do hard things. With the help of the Lord, you can do anything He wants you to do.
2. When life doesn't go as planned, don't get frustrated... Make the best of it. Most of the time, things don't go as planned.
3. Things Take Time
..........
I appreciate my professor's wisdom.
